Disclose ingredients in cleaning products
We all regularly come into contact with cleaning products -- whether at home, at work, at school, or at health care facilities. And yet, there are no federal requirements for companies to disclose the ingredients in these products.
Studies have found chemicals linked to health threats like asthma, cancer, reproductive and developmental problems in common household cleaning products, but these potentially harmful chemicals often are not listed on product labels, leaving consumers in the dark. Urge your representative to support the Cleaning Product Right to Know Act, which requires the full disclosure of chemicals in institutional and household cleaning products.
