Stand Up to Wall Street
Congress passed the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010. This law created the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) to level the playing field for consumers and prevent another financial crisis.
The CFPB is the nation’s only financial agency completely devoted to consumer protection. Since 2011, it has served as an effective watchdog over unfair practices in financial products and services, such as mortgages, student loans, and credit cards. The CFPB is protecting students, seniors, servicemembers and all the rest of us, too.
Wall Street, which opposed the creation of the CFPB, is doubling down on its efforts to weaken it.
Tell Congress to stand up to Wall Street and protect the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
